In the second of her two-part special on AI in paraplanning, Zara Okoro asks where we are heading as a profession. What plans are AI tool providers and financial planning practices likely to pursue in future? And what could it mean for the role of paraplanner itself?

In conversation with Benjamin Fabi of Principled Paraplanning, Aram Kupelian of Holden and Partners, Jonny Stubbs of Brooks Financial, and Ben Wright of Melo, Zara asks how far and fast AI adoption should go, what could go wrong, and what needs to happen to get this right?

I thrive on untangling industry assumptions, surfacing new possibilities, and sparking conversations that push the profession forward.

I write, speak, and facilitate workshops that challenge the status quo, propose practical innovations, and encourage the industry to think differently. From leveraging AI to rethink advice delivery, to exploring behavioural and sustainable finance opportunities, to improving financial literacy and wellbeing for clients, my work is about imagining better futures—and figuring out how to get there.

At heart, I love provoking thought, inspiring discussion, and turning curiosity into action. If it demands insight, imagination, and a touch of provocation—I’m all in.
