9 September 2021 The Paraplanners Assembly invites you to secure your seat on a Paraplanet-bound shuttle, ready for the Big Day Out of this World.
What's it all about?
Every year the Paraplanners Assembly invites paraplanners to come along to the Big Day Out, an informal gathering designed by paraplanners for paraplanners to exchange views, learn things, fix things and share things.
And while the Big Day Out will be virtual this year, with participants joining through online event platform – Hopin, their imaginations will voyage further afield. Much further afield. Out of this world, further afield.
Join us for the Big Day Out of this World
For more than 200 years, astronomers have speculated about the possible existence of another planet in the Solar System.
A so-called Planet Nine that’s been playing celestial hide-and-seek with humanity by skulking around the back of the Sun or ducking from view in the back of beyond
But we’re here to tell you that the rumours of Planet Nine’s presence aren’t rumours at all.
We’re OVER THE MOON to reveal that Planet Nine does exist.
It’s been on the other side of the Sun all along.
And it’s called Paraplanet!
And it’s an out-of-this-world tourist destination exclusively for paraplanners.
If you’re a Paraplanner, we’re inviting you to join us on a journey to this new planet on 9 September 2021, spending the day with other paraplanning visitors, discussing the matters that matter to you.
In a galaxy where it’s possible for the ninth planet to hide behind the sun, it’s also possible for you to visit to Paraplanet from the comfort of your own home, through the virtual events platform called Hopin.
Buckle up for a BIG DAY OUT OF THIS WORLD!
How will it all work?
It’s life, but not as we know it, Jim! For the second year running, our annual gathering of paraplanners is online (through virtual platform, Hopin), but with plenty of opportunities for you to explore Paraplanet with other visitors.
Topics discussed at the Big Day Out of this World are decided by you. Once you’ve reserved your boarding pass, we’ll be in touch to ask you what you’d like to discuss with other paraplanners.
Formats for the day range from small interactive huddles to the Big Huddle itself – a gathering of all visitors, discussing the future of the profession and matters that matter to Paraplanners, all conducted under Chatham House Rules.
In the lead up to the departure date, we’ll send you mission updates which will include further instructions to guide you to the SECRET SPACEPORT, help you prepare for the journey and make sure you enjoy your trip to Paraplanet.
It’s not every day you get to go to Paraplanet, so we’ve made sure we don’t waste a single minute.
