7 October 2020 The Paraplanners Assembly invites you to learn, fix and shore on a Big Day Out (In).
What's it all about?
No that wasn’t a spelling mistake. We really are asking you to learn, fix and shore, as we invite you to come and marvel at the imaginary Mediterranean-style microclimate – in October. Don’t miss out as we head out on a Big Day Out (In), broadcast live to you from our studio. That’s right! We’ve got a fancy studio all kitted out bringing you all the holiday essentials.
How’s all this going to work? Well this year, our annual meet up for paraplanners from across the country is online using a nifty bit of kit called Hopin. Being online is not going to get in the way of paraplanners getting together to learn, fix and share. With that in mind, we’re making sure we create lots of opportunities for you to catch up with your paraplanner pals, as well as covering the topics you’ve told us you want to hear more about. And we’re piping in some of the sessions live from our studio.
the big day out (in) itinerary
We’ve used surveys completed by participants in Paraplanners Assembly events throughout 2020 to determine the topics discussed at the Big Day Out (In), across formats ranging from small interactive workshops to the Big Huddle itself – a gathering of all participants, discussing the future of the profession and matters that matter to Paraplanners, and conducted under Chatham House Rules.
The smaller interactive Huddles include topics like:
– Reviews under the microscope
– The quick fire tax round
– Regulation radar
– Capacity for loss and sequence risk
– Standing in a client’s shoes: What do current trends mean for them?
This year, we’re putting Excel in the spotlight for the the expert session. Helping us bend Excel to our will is Mega Clever Clogs and Microsoft MVP (Microsoft Most Valuable Professional), Laura Graham-Brown.
From a short cut challenge to answering your spreadsheet questions, Laura is going to help us put Excel through its paces.
